Are soft drinks good for you: They Are, If Taken in Moderation, Though!

If you take a look at soft drinks closely today you will find that there seems to be nothing good in them at all. Yet, if you go around schools and colleges, the sports field and movies, as a matter of fact anywhere where young people are milling around, you will find that just about everyone is sipping a soft drink. These drinks can be a Coke or a Pepsi and a Sprite or a Mountain Dew, but all seem to be hooked onto soft drinks.

But, if you go back in time, say to the 60s, you will find that soft drinks were not available then. What were young people drinking then? In the days gone by, young people would probably be having a glass of sugarcane juice or sipping those ice lollies. Sometime in the 70s the soft drinks started trickling in and now there is nothing to stop them. So, what is there in soft drinks that attract the young and why should people not have these soft drinks? Or, can people still continue to have these?

For the households that have been ordering beverages online or over at the local grocery store (or even a sweetmeat) would like to read on the underlined essential points.

The Bottom Line: Soft drinks and Beverages are good if taken in Moderation

The bottom line of the conversation around the ‘good’ and ‘evils’ of consuming soft drinks – or any beverage for that matter - is that soft drinks are all right if consumed moderately. There is no conclusive evidence of soft drinks causing cancer and you will not wear out your teeth if you choose soft drinks that are either sugar-free or diet drinks.

If you limit your intake to just one or two in a day and eat wholesome food, there is no reason for you to avoid them.
